Nonverbal Behavior of the Interviewer/Interrogator*
Effective interview / interrogation is an art. Successful interviewers know that we only remember 25% of what is said immediately after we hear it and so employ a nonjudgmental mind set that enables effective recall. They utilize nonverbal behavior to reinforce their credibility and send messages of empathy and rapport to "invite" confessions. They control the situation through subtle power behavior and specialized listening techniques. Target: Interviewers who seek a higher level of effectiveness.

Faculty:  Dr. "Mac" McKinnon, expert in nonverbal deception and credibility and CEO of MACNLOW. Nonverbal Deception and this course have been taught at Quantico, RCMP College (Ottawa), in China and in Abu Dhabi.

Effective Listening for Successful Interview / Interrogation*
This course analyzes barriers to listening and aids interviewers in finding interrogation wedges. Participants assess personal strengths and weaknesses in listening, learn how to get more complete information, how to use the reflective listening technique as an aid to better questioning, and how to avoid letting their own biases affect their determination of truth and deception.
